BEFORE

It was an ordinary weekday during mid-afternoon when my boyfriend's mom received a text massage attached with several photos from her friend living nearby, in that she mentioned that she would like to give away several pieces of furniture and seemed to know the news that I, from time to time, was in search of used furniture to upcycle, revamp, or refinish, she, on the top of her head, thought of contacting my boyfriend's mom immediately. 

So.. the moving crew, I, of course, my boyfriend and an extra helper, my sister tagged along my boyfriend's mom the same night to the lady's house and started our "one man's trash is another man's treasure" hunt. 

According to those photos she sent, this side table was my main focus and purpose to pay her house a visit. 

Even it has a dark red wood tone veneer finish on table top surface, the entire side table was still made with real solid wood which was definitely make it worth to be revived and restyled. 

AFTER

This cute vintage pink gold dipped leg side table/ nightstand was painted with Rust Oleum Ultra Matte Chalked Paint blush pink color and lightly sanded around corners and on legs to achieve shabby chic style.

The piece was sealed and protected with a layer of van Gogh Fossil Paint Clear Natural Beeswax and to create layered and weathered look van Gogh Fossil Paint French Caffeine dark wax was applied lightly to the entire side table.

The hardware and especially the table legs were spray painted with Rust Oleum Metallic gold color to highlight and showcase the most unique feature this small table is all about – the Queen Anne style legs.

This solid wood side table/ nightstand would fit perfectly, but not limited to, in a lady’s home office, a young girl’s bedroom or a new born baby’s nursery and would match light and breezy cottage style, classic and elegant traditional style, or sky is the limit because styling options for this side table/ nightstand are endless.

Words can not describe how much I adore the final result with the vintage pink combined with dipped in gold look which reminds me so much of infamous "Marie Antoinette" glamorous and delicate style decor.
