BEFORE

This bedroom furniture set includes a twin-size bed frame and a 3-drawer chest which can also be reassigned as a nightstand/ bedside table with drawers.

Twin size bed frame constructed with headboard, footboard, side rails and 3 solid wood slats for extremely easy and minimal assembling. 

Both furniture pieces are manufactured by Nadeau & Nadeau Limited, Division of Shermag in Canada with solid maple wood and excellent craftsmanship.

AFTER

3-drawer chest was painted with two coats Van Gogh Fossil Paint Chivalry (grey) color as foundation and top with couple more coats of Chalk (antique white) color. The entire piece was then heavily distressed to reveal the hidden surprise, a lovely subtle grey undertone and protected with a layer of Van Gogh Fossil Paint Clear Natural Beeswax. 

Drawer knobs were spray painted with Rust-Oleum Specialty Metallic Gold color to create a distinguishable contrast between distressing vintage look and classic elegant style. 

Twin size bed frame had two coats of Chalk (antique white) as base color and was painted with another two layers of Patina (light blue) color. It was sanded lightly in specific areas to let the crisp and clean color of white to shine through. Clear natural beeswax was applied to protect the piece and Van Gogh Fossil Paint French Caffeine (dark) Natural Beeswax was used to give the finish look more weathered and vintage feel.

The tip of four posts were spray painted with metallic gold color as well to create a dreamy princess type of finish and also to tie in the looks of both furniture pieces together.

I guess not all the furniture for a princess has to be pink after all!
