Remember that treasure hunt at my boyfriend's mom's friend's basement?

We also found some solid wood dining chairs with good bones and unique features which desperately cried out for some updates.

Surprisingly, well, to me it was really not a surprise anymore that I should totally get used to it, the number of chairs that the lady had was "3" AGAIN!

That's right! This is not a deja vu!

I've obtained another set of "3" dining chairs!

However, this time around, I was thinking my fate finally worked with me, not against me no more.

As I had some left-over fabrics from my last 3 dining chairs project which at the time I had no idea what to do with them.

But now everything seemed to clear up and come together slowly in a very nicely planned way even though I didn't achieve it purposely at the beginning.

So, here it went....

AFTER

Getting tired of staring at dull and unified dining chairs and is interested in being outside of a box for once?

The style of mix and match dining chairs is in the trend!

Antique White

This one was painted with Rust Oleum Ultra Matte Chalked Paint in aged grey (light grey) as base color and another coat of linen white (white) as top layer.

It was then heavily distressed to reveal both of the edgy grey and original warm ivory tone underneath.

To protect the piece, a layer of Van Gogh Fossil Paint Clear Beeswax was applied, but to emphasize on the weathered look, French Caffeine (dark) wax was added.

To finalize the farmhouse style, chair cushion was newly reupholstered with Ballard Design Document Brown (chocolate) French Script fabric.

Charming Grey

This one was painted with Rust Oleum Ultra Matte Chalked Paint in linen white (white) as base color and another coat of aged grey (light grey) as top layer.

It was then heavily distressed to let both of the crisp white and original warm ivory tone peak through.

To protect the piece, Van Gogh Fossil Paint Clear Beeswax was applied and to showcase vintage feel, a layer of French Caffeine (dark) wax was added.

Chair cushion was newly reupholstered with Waverly Hanover Plaid Graphite (charcoal grey) fabric to complete the farmhouse look.

Relaxing Blue

This one was painted with Rust Oleum Ultra Matte Chalked Paint in linen white (white) as base color and another coat of serenity blue (light greenish blue) as top layer.

It was then heavily distressed to highlight shabby chic style.

To protect the piece, a thin layer of Van Gogh Fossil Paint Clear Beeswax was applied and to add depth to complete the rustic flair, French Caffeine (dark) wax was used.

Finally, to enhance classiness, chair cushion was newly reupholstered with Waverly Rustic Life Toile Bliss (greenish blue) fabric.

I have to admit that I was so amazed by the first mix and match dining chair transformation that I can and will never get tired of all three color palette and fabric design, so I had to "DID IT AGAIN" and the end result still blew me away!
